Harting unveils Han Ex Connector sets for explosion-proof environments

Harting has launched the Han Ex industrial connector portfolio for explosion-proof applications with a series of five size 3A sets, each comprised of a hood, housing and high pin count insert. The Han Ex rollout is for use exclusively in intrinsically safe circuits of categories “ia”, “ib” and “ic” of explosion protection method “Ex i”, and is suitable for Zones 0, 1 and 2 for gas and Zones 20, 21 and 22 for dust, says the company. The “Ex i” protection method assures intrinsically safe electrical circuitry that is limited for maximum voltage, current, capacity and inductance, it adds.

IEEE1101.10/11 Injector/Ejector Handles

Verotec has revamped its range of IEEE1101.10/11 compliant subrack front panels with an improved design of injector/ejector latching handle that generates greater insertion and extraction force, a superior stainless steel EMC fingered gasket that improves contact with the adjacent panel and a ROSH-compliant iridite finish that gives enhanced conductivity and corrosion resistance.

Verotec custom enclosures help keep the London Underground running

Verotec Press Release

The London Underground, part of Transport for London, carried 1.26 billion passengers in the last year, making it one of the busiest networks in the world. To help keep it running smoothly, Verotec, the specialist electronic enclosure manufacturer, used its TecServ+ Project Service operation to design and manufacture bespoke enclosures used to house some critical switching and interfacing equipment.
